2017 season preview: Elkhorn Valley’s golf team returns in 2017 with hopes of qualifying for the state tournament come May.
The team is hoping that the large influx of freshman into the program will be the boost it needs to send a golfer or two to the state tournament in North Platte.
Zane Richardson, Jace Thompson, Bryson Anderson and Josiah Wreidt make up that young class that will look to fill in and battle it out for a spot among the varsity five.
Koby Smith, the lone senior, will be looked upon as a leader for the Falcons. 
Darren Stewart, P.J. Miguelino and Tyson Hanson make up a talented junior class with some experience for Elkhorn Valley
The Falcons have a busy season in 2017, including four tournaments in the month of May alone.
They will first hit the course on April 4 when they head to Summerland Golf Course in Ewing.
