Snodgrass Medals Twice At Muscle Mayhem

After months of hard work, Seth Snodgrass’s efforts have paid off yet again. 

The Royal resident and owner of 719 Fitness in Neligh traveled to Kansas City over the weekend to take on some of the best fitness competitors in the Midwest as part of the Muscle Mayhem Championships. 

After spending his first couple of years competing in the men’s physique division, Snodgrass added a new challenge for himself this year when he took on the competitors in the classic physique division.

The move was a success, as Snodgrass returned home with two medals. He took second in the novice division while taking fourth in the open division, making him eligible for a national competition.  

In men’s physique, competitors are expected to show off body conditioning with proper shape and symmetry throughout their body. Competitors must also work as an actor of sorts, using their stage presence to convey their personality to the judges.

However, classic physique is more closely related to traditional bodybuilding. Competitors still need to have top-notch body conditioning, but judges also want to see strong muscularity from the competitor as well.

“I think it went very well,” Snodgrass said. “My heart is in classic and I feel it fits my body type better. I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made since last year. I was going for first and was so close. That’s just going to make me push harder during the offseason.”

​“I’m going to take an offseason to make the necessary improvements to bring a physique that can’t be denied,” he continued. “Overall, I had a ton of fun and can’t wait for the next time I get to step on the stage."
