A Saturday track trip was apparently just what the Cyclones needed this past weekend as they took part in the Wausa Invite.

Three Cyclone records fell at the meet, topping an impressive overall day for Clearwater-Orchard. Brooklynn Chipps, who has already cemented herself as one of the best throwers in Clearwater-Orchard history, broke the school record in the discus when she launched a throw of 109-04. She took first in the event, as well as in shot put with a throw of 35-10.5.

Kylie Thiele also shattered a school record, with hers coming in the 800 meter run. Her time of 2:22.7 seconds set the new school mark and was good for second place on the day. That time is also the second-highest mark in Class D this year.

The final record-breaking performance came from Creston Bertschinger. The junior took fourth in the 100 meter dash with an 11.8. However, his prelim time of 11.63 put him on top of the list in Clearwater-Orchard history.

Other top performers on the day were Alexis Pokorny and Jacob Long. The duo combined for three gold medals on the day.
