N-O Kicks Of Track Season In Vermillion

Neligh-Oakdale got its 2017 track season started on Tuesday as they made the trek to Vermillion, South Dakota for the Dan Lennon Invitational.

More than 1,000 competitors from four states converged on the campus of University of South Dakota, and Neligh-Oakdale did not get lost in the crowd.

The best finish of the day for the Warriors was by Grant White, who took sixth in the triple jump with a leap of 38 feet, three inches. He added one more strong finish to his name when he took 11th in the 400 meter dash.

Kristen Snodgrass was the top performer for the girls, posting strong marks in the 60 meter dash and long jump. In the sprint, she finished 20th with a time of 8.77. She took 16th in the long jump with a leap of 13 feet, three and a quarter inches.
