Lady Falcons Notch Tenth Win Of The Season

Elkhorn Valley locked up win number ten on the season during a Saturday night showdown with Bloomfield.

The Falcons held the Queen Bees to just a single point in the first quarter, setting the tone for what turned out to be a 64-30 victory for Elkhorn Valley.

The Falcons shot 40 percent from the floor, combining that with a strong defense to get the win. Hannah Ollendick notched her fifth double-double of the season, posting a team-high 23 points and 11 rebounds. Amber Miller added 16 points, including 2-of-3 from beyond the arc, while dishing out six assists. Olivia Nall added nine points and Bri Werner finished with eight points for the Falcons. Defensively, Ollendick, Miller and Sierra Rystrom each came away with four steals.

In the second game of the night, the boys struggled from the floor, shooting just 27 percent in a 47-34 loss.

Brayden Effle scored 10 points to lead the Falcons. Braedyn Ollendick added six and Bryson Anderson had five.
