Kester, Carpenter Qualify For State Track Meet

Two Clearwater-Orchard tracksters became the first to punch their tickets to the state track meet.

Chris Kester and Vanessa Carpenter each locked up their spot at the state meet in Omaha in the pole vault on Tuesday evening. Kester took the D-6 runner-up title with a vault of 10-00. Carpenter also took second place with a vault of 7-00.

The rest of the Cyclones will look to join them on Wednesday at the D-6 meet in Bassett. The state track meet is May 19 and 20 at Omaha Burke High School.
