Kaup Earns All-Academic Team Honors For WSC Track

A 2016 Neligh-Oakdale graduate was recently honored for his accomplishments in the classroom and as a collegiate athlete.

Dylan Kaup, a sophomore member of the Wayne State College track team, was named to the 2018 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Winter All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for the NSIC Winter All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or better. The student-athlete must also be a sophomore in academic and athletic standing.

The Wayne State College men's indoor track and field team had the most selections for the Wildcats with 12. In addition to Kaup's academic achievements, he had the sixth best throw in the weight throw in the Northern Sun Division II Conference this season with a toss of 56-3.25. Kaup will compete in the discus and hammer throw during the outdoor season.
