Juniors Struggle In Semifinals Of Area Tournament

Neligh fell behind early against top-seeded Hartington on Saturday night during the semifinals of the area tournament.

Hartington jumped up 4-0 in the first inning and eventually won 10-1 in five innings against No. 4 Neligh.

Neligh broke onto the scoreboard in the top of the fourth inning to make it 4-1, but Hartington responded with six runs at their next at bat to put the game out of reach.

Neligh is now off until districts begin on Friday in Riverside Park. The schedule of the games has not been released at this time.
