Falcons Qualify Five For Northeast Nebraska Classic

The Elkhorn Valley boys and girls track teams have been nothing short of impressive all season and that is evident when looking at the list of qualifiers for the Northeast Nebraska Track and Field Classic.

The Falcons will send five athletes to Norfolk on Thursday to compete in the prestigious meet. Amber Miller leads the way as a double qualifier, earning a spot at the meet in the triple jump and pole vault. Her triple jump mark of 33-03 is the eighth-highest qualifying mark of the meet and her vault of 9-06 is the third highest of all qualifiers. 

Sierra Rystrom's mark of 15-08 qualified her for the long jump. Austin Miller qualified in the 1600 meter run thanks to his time of 5:01.24. Tucker Hecht will join his EV teammates after qualifying in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:08.34. Rounding out the Falcon qualifiers is Dylan Wilkins. He will take part in the discus thanks to a qualifying mark of 136-06.
