Falcons Boys, Girls Cruise To Big Victories Over Ewing

Another game, two more double-doubles for the Elkhorn Valley boys. 

For the second time in as many weeks, Brayden Effle and Kalen Dittrich posted huge games for the Falcons, reaching double figures in scoring and rebounding to lead Elkhorn Valley to a 53-39 victory over Ewing. 

Dittrich finished the night with 13 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Falcons on the night. Effle added 10 points and 10 rebounds to aid in the win. Austin Miller and Koby Smith both hit double figures in scoring as well, scoring 11 each. 

Tucker Hecht showed quick hands all night, finishing with five steals.

Earlier in the night, the girls won by nearly an identical margin, taking down the Tigers 54-39. They did most of their damage in the first half, entering the break with a 33-15 lead. For the night, the Falcons hit on an impressive 51 percent of their shots.

Amber Miller, Sierra Rystrom and Brianna Werner each hit double figures, scoring 13, 12 and 10, respectively. Hannah Ollendick did the rough work for the Falcons, pulling in five boards and five steals. Shelby Cakebread also added four steals to spark the Falcon defense.
