EPPJ Netters Go Perfect At Plainview Tourney

The Elgin Public/Pope John volleyball team went 2-0 at the Plainview Tournament Saturday.

The Lady Wolfpack swept West Holt in their opener, 25-21 and 25-23.

Kayce Kallhoff led the way with three kills, two blocks and 10 digs. Haley Zegers recorded four kills, five digs, two blocks and an ace. Kirsten Krebs accounted three kills, two aces and two blocks and Allyson Wemhoff had two blocks, an ace and 12 assists.

EPPJ defeated host squad Plainview in two sets, 25-16 and 25-14, to end the day.

Zegers contributed four kills, two assists, five blocks and eight digs, Krebs tallied six kills, Anna Heilhecker recorded 11 digs, Wemhoff accumulated 14 assists, whileHarlie Bode, Kallhoff, Grace Rittscher all had three kills.

Elgin Public/Pope John (8-6) hosts Osmond and Central Valley in a tri-match Tuesday at 5 p.m.
