Cyclones Swing Into 2017 With Strong Triangular

Clearwater-Orchard became one of the first teams to hit the links on Tuesday as the Cyclones hosted their first triangular of 2017. 

The Cyclones hosted Niobrara/Verdigre and Santee in a season-opening triangular and came away as the overall victor in the team standings with a score of 200. Niobrara/Verdigre shot a team score of 217 and Santee did not record a team score.

Both varsity and junior varsity took to the course at Summerland and, despite the breezy weather, the Cyclones golfer fared well on the day. 

​Clearwater-Orchard was led on the day by one of their top returners, Ryan Wilhelm. He had a consistently strong day, finishing with a team-best round of 47. 

Coming in second for the Cyclones was Gage Clifton. In his first high school action, the freshman hit a 48 on the day.
Travis Rudloff came in fourth overall, posting a 50. Peyton Clifton and Blake Hoke then tied for seventh overall with a 55. 

The Cyclones will be back on the course April 4 when they take part in the Crofton Invite.
