Cyclones Hit The Road For Two Wins At Stuart

Tuesday's road trip was twice as nice for Clearwater-Orchard.

The Cyclone girls and boys each earned wins over Stuart in an early-week showdown. The girls outlasted the Broncos in a tight battle, 37-32. 

Allison Kerkman exploded for 16 points for O-C, including two made 3s. The Cyclones got a double-double effort from Katie Stearns, who finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Cyclone defense was strong as well, led by four steals from Julia Thiele and three from Brooklynn Chipps.

The boys didn't have to sweat out a finish in their game as they took down Stuart handily by a score of 58-27. They held an 18-8 lead after one quarter of play and a 29-10 lead at halftime. 

Blake Hoke led all Cyclones with 18 points on 8-of-14 shooting. Ryan Wilhelm was unbeatable in the middle, posting his second-straight double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Liam Odell added 11 points while Jacob Long and Kirby Willats did work on the glass with seven rebounds each.
