Cyclones Do Battle At Stanton Invite Over Weekend

The Stanton invite proved to be a challenging event for the Clearwater-Orchard wrestlers this weekend, but a number of Cyclones still came home after placing.

Clay Thiele led the way for the Cyclones, taking second at 182 pounds. He topped all three of his first opponents, including two pins, before falling in the championship bout to Collin Gale of Plainview.

Also at 182 pounds, Codey Snider took home fifth place. After starting the tournament with a loss to Thiele, he came back to pin three of his next four opponents.

Rafe Grebin took sixth for the Cyclones at 113 pounds. That was made possible by an 11-7 win over Arcadia-Loup City's Dylan Jepsen in the second round.
