Clearwater Peewees Fall To Battle Creek At Tourney

The boys of Clearwater hit an early speed bump at the Quad County Tournament in Neligh on Saturday.

After receiving a first-round bye, the Clearwater Peewees took on Battle Creek #2 early Saturday morning. Unfortunately, they were unable to keep up with Battle Creek from the get go. BC jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead after one, pushing the lead to 10-0 after the second inning. Clearwater finally got on the board when Gage Thiessen was able to cross home plate in the third, but that's all the more they were able to muster. BC added six more runs in the third to finish the game with a 16-1 win.

Clearwater will be back on the field Saturday night at 7 p.m. against Battle Creek #3.
