10 Antelope County Wrestlers Ready For State Meet

Antelope County wrestling fans will have a busy day on Thursday, with 10 wrestlers set to take the mat in the Class D meet.

Clearwater-Orchard will see 182-pounder Clay Thiele take on Seth Racicky of Ansley-Litchfield to start the day.

Neligh-Oakdale's Cameron Wilkinson and Andrew Herley will both look to bring back gold. Wilkinson will meet Jaydon Walker of Hemingford at 106 pounds. Herley will take on Thayer Central's Damian Stewart in the opening round of the 132-pound bracket. 

D2 district runner-up Elkhorn Valley will send a busload of wrestlers to the meet. At 113 pounds, Dillon Stewart will take the mat against Wade Wright of East Butler. Alejandro Martinez will start his day at 120 pounds against Scribner-Snyder's Justin Noel. Darren Stewart will meet Jesse Evans of Dundy County-Stratton in the first round at 132 pounds. Prestin Vondra drew a matchup with Brody Lewis of Franklin at 138 pounds. At 145, Josh McFarland will meet Medicine Valley's Dylan Davis-Mack. Brock Schaecher will clash with Justus Monette of Mullin in the 160-pound bracket. Shawn Klinetobe wraps up the Falcon wrestlers. He will face Scott Taylor of Medicine Valley at 182 pounds.

The Class D tournament will kick off on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
