Rollover Occurs Sunday Afternoon Southeast Of Orchard

One person was transported following a rollover accident Sunday afternoon southeast of Orchard.

The one-vehicle accident occurred at 1:30 p.m. about a quarter mile east of the intersection of 859 Road and 516 Ave, along what is commonly known as the Clearwater Road. The accident was three miles east and four south of Orchard, and another quarter mile east.

Antelope County Deputy John Shaver said 28-year-old Irais Granda Garcia of Neligh was westbound on 859 Road in a 2004 Jeep Liberty when she lost control and rolled her vehicle. Garcia was wearing a seatbelt. 

Orchard Volunteer Fire and Rescue transported Garcia from the scene to Antelope Memorial Hospital in Neligh.

Shaver said the vehicle was totaled in the accident. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time.

The accident was investigated by the Antelope County Sheriff's Department with assistance from the Neligh Police Department and Nebraska State Patrol.
