Orchard Site Second Graders Talk About Cooking Turkeys

The second graders in Orchard wrote a paragraph about how they think a turkey is made for Thanksgiving! If you need a laugh, keep reading.

Kiara Robinette: First you buy the turkey at Walmart.  Next you cook it in the oven, Then you take it out of the oven when it is done cooking.  Last I eat it with my whole family!

Linnell Perez: First my dad shoots it out of town.  Next we boil it so that we get all the germs off.  Then we add stuffing to the inside to make it tasty.  Last we enjoy a delicious feast!

Ava Jo Cleveland: First my mom buys a big turkey at Walmart.  Next mom puts it in the oven to cook.  Then my mom adds stuffing inside to make it really good.  Last my family and I put it on a plate and eat it!
 
Cassie Livingston: First my mom buys a frozen turkey and thaws it out.  Next my mom cooks it in the oven.  Then mom and I put stuffing in the turkey.  Last you get to enjoy a delicious feast!

Brylie Billings: First my mom goes and buys a big turkey at the grocery store.  Next my mom boils it in the pot.  Next we take it out of the pot and cut it.  Last we eat it!!!!!!

Mason Schwager: First my mom buys a big turkey at Todd's store in Orchard.  Next my mom puts it in the oven at 200 degrees.  Then she adds salt and pepper to add flavor.  Last my family eats the turkey and you know my baby brother Treyson cant.

Autumn Jackson: First when my mom buys the turkey we have to thaw it because it is frozen solid.  Next my mom and I of course boil it because we want it warm.  Then my mom and I always test taste it.  Last we enjoy our turkey and eat it as a family.
