The Orchard Book Club held their first meeting last Thursday at 7 p.m. in the Orchard Public Library.
Four women attended the first meeting, with others expressing interesting in coming to future meetings. The club will meet once a month in the library to discuss the book they’re reading, and because of the varied reading interests represented, the club will read different genres every month. The book club was started by Orchard News editor Natalie Bruzon. “I’ve always loved reading and I always wanted to be in a book club,” said Bruzon. “Also, being new to such a small community, I’ve been finding ways to intentionally connect with other people.” Bruzon hopes the club will help bring people who enjoy reading together.
