Orchard Back To School Bash Set For August 10

The entire community is invited to a free Back-To-School Bash on Thursday, Aug. 10, from 6-8 p.m. in park area by the swimming pool.

The Orchard Advisory Board, along with Principal Cathy Cooper, finalized plans Monday during their month meeting. While the event will have lots of activities for families and children, including inflatables, free swimming and games, board members are encouraging community members of all ages to attend and support Orchard students.

Hot dogs, chips, drinks and cookies will be served. A sign-up sheet will be available at TJ’s Market for residents to assist with food purchases for the event.. Board members will bring grills to the parking lot to grill for the community. Cooper said each student will receive a pair of sunglasses donated by Dana and Rachael Cheatum.

The next Orchard Advisory Board meeting was set for August 7 at 7 p.m
