OPS Bee-gins Monday Motivation

Orchard Public Schools bee-ginning their morning off right with some motivation.

August 21st, Orchard Public Schools had their first "Motivational Monday," of the year. All of the students, faculty, and staff are invited to join each Monday for some motivation to start the week off right. From dancing to skits, they hope to make the school year even more successful. 

The second grade teacher, Sierra Summers, was inspired by this idea at one of the teacher workshops.

"We really wanted to do this to give the students a more positive outlook on the week, because we come in on Monday's and everyone seems to be dragging," she said. 

Positivity and a successful year is one of the main goals of the Orchard school, and they hope that this new tradition will help them reach it. 

Each week a different class will have the opportunity to lead with their choice of motivation.
Summers explained that, "There is a weekly sign up sheet for each class to volunteer, so we are able to get the whole school involved."

​This week, the 2nd grade class chose to lead the school with some fun songs and dancing, with the pledge of allegiance to follow. 

Principal Cathy Cooper and the Orchard Public School faculty and staff is excited for each Monday in hopes to make the 2017-18 school year the best yet by bee-coming B-brilliant students, E-effective relationships, E-energetic school community.
