Olson Named Boys Basketball High School Coach Of The Year

A boys basketball coach with strong ties to the area was recently named the Class B-C-D coach of the year.

Luke Olson, who is married to 1999 Orchard Public School graduate Holly Erb Olson,  led the Bennington basketball team to the state tournament this year.

Olson was selected by 750 of his peers, from coaches and athletic directors to referees and members of the media, to receive the top award.

He will be honored on April 1, at the Buffalo Wild Wings/Boys & Girls Club of the Midlands Basketball All-Star Game. Olson will receive his awards from representatives Buffalo Wild Wings, the Boys & Girls Club and the Fraternal Order of Police.
