It’s fire prevention month, and Clearwater-Orchard schools are gearing up for special activities presented by the local firemen.
The Orchard site will be visited by local firemen on Tuesday October 11, where they will hold 15-minute presentations to different classrooms and discuss basic fire safety and best practices in case of emergency. The firemen will also be dressed in their gear so students know what they'll look like during a rescue.
Clearwater firemen will visit the Pre-K classroom on Wednesday, October 12. Then, on Monday October 17 elementary students will have the opportunity to bond with firemen during the Red Hot Reading Night.
The night, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will be a time for firemen and elementary students to get to know each other with reading and rides.
