Clearwater-Orchard senior Sierra Schroeder and juniors Kinzly Macke and Kylie Thiele all competed Friday in Class C at the state track and field meet in Omaha.
Thiele just missed the finals in the 400, finishing ninth in prelims with a time of 1:00.56. Schroeder qualified in the long jump and went 14-5. In the 100, Macke ran a time of 13.18. She also ran the 200 and finished with a time of 27.65. Macke did not advance to the finals Saturday in either event. Jagger Smith also competed on Friday and earned a fourth-place medal in the high jump. Read the story here. Five Cyclones will compete on Saturday, including two dual-qualifiers. Smith will participate in the long jump while Thiele will run the 800. In the high jump, Alexis Pokorny and JoCee Johnston will both compete. Brooklynn Chipps will compete in the shot put. |
