Livingston Honored As First Two-Time Scholarship Winner

Clearwater-Orchard graduate Cadrien Livingston is in unique territory with her most recent scholarship.

Livingston, the daughter of Valerie Livingston of Orchard, was recognized Saturday afternoon in Lincoln as the first two-time winner of the Nebraska Press Association Foundation scholarship. She also won the prestigious $2,000 scholarship last year as a senior at Clearwater-Orchard. She is now attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln as a freshman majoring in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Communication.

The Nebraska Press Association Foundation was established in the fall of 1991.  Under the established guidelines, scholarship applicants must be residents of Nebraska who will be enrolled, either as incoming freshmen or upper classmen, in Nebraska-based colleges and universities this fall in a print journalism program. There is no limit to how many years one can apply for the scholarship and Livingston is the first to ever apply for a second time.

The other $2,000 scholarship recipients were Grace Fitzgibbon of Lincoln, Cassandra Kestal of Gretna and William Stone of North Platte. 
 
The recipients were honored at the 143rd Annual Nebraska Press Association Convention Awards Luncheon at the Country Inn and Suites-North in Lincoln.
