John Ferguson Voted In To Board; Elden Schact Retires

After 12 years of service, Elden Schact is retiring from the Village Board and John Ferguson will come in to take the empty seat. 

According to Village Clerk Brenda Harrison, Schact could be leaving the board as soon as December.

"How it works is we make sure we don't have any old businesses that still needs attending to that he was on the board with," explained Harrison. "And as far as I can tell we don't. So I'm going to say December is the last time he will have anything to do with the board. We reorganize in the December, and that's when John will take his seat."

John Ferguson was a write-in candidate on Tuesday's ballot and won a seat on the board with 39 votes. All other board members will remain the same.
