Cadrien Livingston Awarded Nebraska Press Scholarship

A Clearwater-Orchard senior was named one of for scholarship recipients from the Nebraska Press Association Foundation last weekend.

Cadrien Livingston of Orchard was awarded the prestigious $2,000 scholarship during during the annual spring NPA conference.

Livingston plans to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is the daughter of Valerie Livingston.
Other scholarship winners were Cy Cannon of Silver Creek, David Mueller of Shelton and Lauren Wagner of Ceresco.

The Nebraska Press Association Foundation was established in the fall of 1991.  Under the established guidelines, scholarship applicants must be residents of Nebraska who will be enrolled, either as incoming freshmen or upper classmen, in Nebraska-based colleges and universities this fall in a print journalism program. 

​This year the Foundation has awarded four scholarships.  Two are to high school students planning to attend a Nebraska college or university and two are to students who are currently attending a Nebraska college or university.

Livingston is just the second Orchard native to be recognized by the Nebraska Press Association with a scholarship from the foundation.
