![]() There was whooping and hollering tonight at the Evangelical Free Church in Orchard when Anita Makovicka received the phone call she had been praying for - that her daughter, Amanda, was found alive. "It was real praise time," said Wanda Trease, Amanda's grandmother, who was also at the bible study. Trease said Makovicka and Wettlaufer, who have been missing for more than week, were found safe at a shelter in Iowa City, Iowa. Trease said Amanda Makovicka plans to stay in Iowa City. "She's also going to be able to get help because she's a veteran," Trease said. Makovicka previously spent time in the Navy. Trease said the family is grateful for the support of the Orchard and Royal community during this time, as well as the law enforcement and volunteers who searched for her granddaughter. Jenny Trease of Orchard, Amanda's aunt, also spent time searching this week and said she's "elated" Makovicka was found alive. "I found out about 45 minutes ago (8 p.m.) and we're so thankful and happy," she said. Related Stories:
