[email protected] It’s fire prevention month, and Clearwater-Orchard schools are gearing up for special activities presented by the local firemen. Local firemen visited the Orchard site on Tuesday. The firemen they visited different classrooms and discussed basic fire safety and best practices in case of emergency. Firemen were also dressed in their safety gear so students know what to look for in the event of an emergency. Clearwater firemen will visit the Pre-K classroom on Wednesday morning and spend some time with students. They will talk about fire safety and what to do in case of an emergency. On Monday October 17, Clearwater elementary students will have the opportunity to bond with firemen during the Red Hot Reading Night. The night, which will start at 6:30 p.m., will be a time for firemen and elementary students to get to know each other. Firemen will each take a group of students and read books with them. Students will also have the opportunity to ride in a fire truck. |
