Funeral Services For Sharon Thelander

Sharon Kay Thelander, 70, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Dalhart, TX. 

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at First Baptist Church, Dalhart, TX with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dalhart, TX – Funeral arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.

Officiating will be Brian Walton, Associate Pastor of First Baptist Church in Dalhart, Texas

Sharon Kay Stelling was born on December 5, 1946 to Leonard & Alma (Frederick) Stelling in Neligh, NB. Sharon married Lynn Thelander on November 20, 1966. Sharon & Lynn ran the Denver Exxon for many years in Dalhart. Sharon worked at Mazios for over 20 years. Sharon loved sewing, gardening and cooking. Sharon’s family said she made the best fried chicken in the world. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her 3 children- a daughter Linette Pope, 2 sons Mike and his wife Kristi Thelander and Doug Thelander of Dalhart, TX. 6 grandchildren – Kourtney and her husband Grant Sacco of Las Vegas, NV, Devin Shirar, Kourtney Thelander, Justice Thelander, Avry Thelander and Emily Thelander all of Dalhart, TX as well as her 2 sisters – Yvonne Cooper & her husband, Jim and Janet Miller & her husband, Howard. 

Sharon is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Lynn and an infant son, Todd Thelander
