Funeral Services For Jason Gutz

Funeral services for Jason Jeffrey Gutz, of Plainview, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 8th at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.  Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. on Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Plainview.

Jason Jeffrey Gutz was called to his heavenly home on July 5, 2017 at the age of 19.  Jason was born on March 9, 1998 to Jeff and Ann Gutz.  He was baptized on April 12, 1998 at Zion Lutheran Church where he was also confirmed and continued to grow in his faith.  Jason graduated in 2016 from Plainview Public School and then attended Concordia University in Seward where he planned to pursue a career helping others in physical therapy.

Jason lived his life loving the Lord, his family, and friends.  He could always be found helping others.  He enjoyed God’s beauty by spending most of his time outdoors fishing, hunting, and playing sports and doing any type of water or motor sports.  He also enjoyed playing the guitar.  Jason gave life everything he had at every opportunity and never held back giving his praise to the Lord and making sure his faith was always top priority.

​Survivors include his parents, Jeff & Ann Gutz; his sister Brittani; grandparents: Wayne and Julia Schacht and Con & Emmy Gutz; several aunts and uncles: Lee & Teri Schacht, Marvin & Melanie Gutz, Abe & Cindy Meyer, and Justin & Crystal Smith; Cousins: Cody, Bethany and Tatum Schacht, Rachael, Kaci, and Holly Schacht, Connor & Cali Gutz, Alexa & Hunter Meyer, Damian and Tristan Smith; as well as many friends here and at Concordia University in Seward. ​
