Funeral Services For Helen Burk

Fuuneral Services for Helen Burk age 88 of Ewing, NE will be at 10:30 am; Monday, July 3, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ewing, with Father James Kramper, Officiating.  Burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Ewing, NE. Visitation will be Sunday, 5:00 to 6:30 pm July 2, 2017 at St. Peter's Catholic Church with a 6:30 p.m. Wake Service with Father James Kramper, Officiating.  Helen passed away, Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk, NE. 

Snider Memorial Funeral Home is handling arrangements.  Condolences may be sent to the family at 
www.snidermemorialfh.comHelen Kay Burk was born on December 13, 1928 to Gordon and Aletha (Mosher) Watson at Plainview, NE. She graduated from Bartlett High School with the Class of 1946. She attended school to become a teacher. Helen taught for 1 year. On May 17, 1948 she was united in marriage to Dave Burk at O'Neill, NE. She was Dave's helper on the ranch what ever needed done she could do it. She enjoyed going for her walks, being outside, helping Father at the church and people whether it it was visiting or needing a ride somewhere. She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary of Sanders Post #214, Merry Matrons, St. Peter's Catholic Church, and Christian Mothers.

Survived by daughters: Cathy and husband Dennis Vandersnick of Ewing, NE and Sue Hoke of Ewing, NE. Grandchildren: Aaron and wife Candice Hoke; Amanda and husband Jamie Schluns. Great grandchildren: Emily Vandersnick, Blake, Mason, Preston Hoke, Meg and Haley Schluns. Brother, Stan and wife, Betty Watson of O'Neill, NE. Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents; husband; son-in-law, Clayton Hoke; grandson, Chris and wife Beth Vandersnick; brother, Lyle "Buck" Watson.
