Funeral Services For Faye Dierking

Funeral Services for Faye Dierking, age 95, of Neligh, formerly of Amelia, will be at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Burial will be in the Chambers Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., Monday, December 21, 2015, at Biglin’s Mortuary in O’Neill. Pastor Gary Ganger will officiate. Faye passed away early Saturday morning, December 19, 2015, at the Golden Living Center in Neligh. Memorials may be made to the family for future designation.

​She is survived by her Daughter, Cindy Hild of Neligh, NE, 3 grandchildren; Brent Hild, his wife Laura, and their daughter Skylar of Boston, MA, Tara Hild of Lincoln, NE, and Kevin Hild and wife Miranda of Neligh, NE.

Faye was born on July 16, 1920, in Bennington, NE, to Arthur and Virdie May (Williams) White. At the age of 13, Faye was baptized into the Church of God in Omaha, NE. She graduated as valedictorian from Bennington High School in 1937, then attended Bible College in Oregon, IL. She worked as an operator at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company in Bennington, NE, and for the Bank of Bennington. Faye also worked as a bookkeeper in Omaha before marrying Harlan Dierking on October 6, 1946, at the Church of God in Omaha, NE. After they were married, they moved to Chambers where Faye worked for Chambers State Bank and Taylor Motor. In 1949 they moved to their ranch 2 miles north of Amelia, NE, where they spent the rest of their married life. Harlan passed away on January 18, 2013 after 67 years of marriage. While living on the ranch, she was a member of the Merry Matrons Club of Amelia and the Happy Homemakers Extension Club. Faye was a longtime member of the Church of God in Omaha.

​She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harlan A. Dierking, 2 sisters; Opal Nelson and husband Ken, and Doris Johns and husband Russell, brother Gilbert White and wife Helen, and son-in-law Bruce Hild.
