Funeral Services For Carol Rittscher Of Tilden

​Funeral services for Carol Rittscher, age 65, of Tilden, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Peace United Church of Christ in Tilden. Pastor Theta Dame will officiate, with burial in Tilden City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden.

Carol died Friday, July 7, 2017, at her residence.

Carol Rittscher was born January 5, 1952, in Tilden, NE to William (Bill) and Darlene Miller Ross, and she passed away on July 7, 2017. Carol graduated from Elkhorn Valley High School in 1970. Carol married Ken Rittscher on October 29, 1994, at Peace United Church of Christ in Tilden.

Carol was employed at Little Lambs Preschool. The children hold a special place in her heart. She was active at Peace United Church of Christ in the choir, Sunday School, Consistory, and Vacation Bible School. She served as president of the Tilden Library Board and was active in Tilden Prairie Days in Pie and Ice Cream Social and Information Booth.

She was a talented seamstress and specialized in window treatments.

Most of all she loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.

​She is survived by her husband, Ken Rittscher; her children; Karen (Chris) Goodman, Jeff (Michele) Dittmer, Jason (Carla) Rittscher and Kent (Candy) Rittscher; and ten grandchildren. Her surviving siblings include, Bill (Rosie) Ross, Betsy (Larry) Uhing, Judy (Allan) Pearson and their children, her loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Darlene Ross.
