Funeral Services For Arland Warneke

Funeral services for Arland Warneke, age 85, of Tilden, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden. Pastor Leon Rosenthal will officiate, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery in Tilden.
 
Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden.
 
Arland died Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk, Nebraska.
 
Arland Delbert Warneke, son of Herman and Charlotte (Rudnick) Warneke, was born July 12, 1931, at Tilden, Nebraska. On May 18, 1952, he was united in marriage to Joyce Elaine Synovec at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilden. They were blessed with three children, Vance, Vicki, and Dell.
 
Arland was a farmer in the Tilden area. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Arland enjoyed participating in horse and mule drives and competing in county fair horse and mule competitions, for which he received many awards. He also enjoyed antique tractors, trail rides, and loved going to parades. Arland and Joyce were part of Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade for eight years.
 
Arland is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children, Vance, Vicki, and Dell (Kim) Warneke; five grandchildren, Jarod, Jake, Amanda, Dustin, and Kaitlin; ten great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Duane Warneke and Ron Warneke both of Tilden, Richard Warneke of Lemon Grove, California, LaVerne Munson of Norfolk, and JoAnn Dorrough of North Port, Florida.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, LeRoy Warneke; sister, Leona Edwards; and son-in-law, Jerry Bove.
