Funeral Services Announced For Mary Pulliam

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Mardell Theresa Scheer Pulliam will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 23, 2014 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Tilden, Nebraska. Reverend Ross Burkhalter will be Celebrant, with burial in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Tilden.

Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home in Tilden, Nebraska, is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Mardell Theresa Scheer Pulliam, 71, St. Joseph, Missouri passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Mary was born September 13, 1942 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Theresa and Lyle Scheer. She grew up in Norfolk, Nebraska and graduated in 1960 from Sacred Heart High School of Norfolk. She lived in the Kansas City area and worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield.

She married Richard Pulliam on July 3, 1970 at Danford Chapel in Lawrence, Kansas. In 1976 she moved to St. Joseph, Missouri with her husband. For a short time she worked at an insurance agency. She then worked for Moore Business Forms until her retirement.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Theresa McCarthy Scheer and Lyle Walter Scheer.

Survived by loving husband, Richard O. Pulliam; brother, Jerome Scheer (Alice), Madison, Nebraska; two sisters, Jeanette Rosier (Sonny Bybee), Lawton, Oklahoma and Barbara Cheairs (Don), Bellevue, Nebraska; many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and a loving pet, Eddie.
