NPPD Called To Assist Following Car Accident In Oakdale

The Nebraska Public Power District has been called to assist with a one-vehicle accident in Oakdale this morning.

According to officer Sam Funk, NPPD was called since the car broke off a power pole located at the intersection of Fourth Street and Hohman Ave. in Oakdale. The power line was strung across the roof of the car.

Emergency personnel are currently on scene and believe just one vehicle was involved in the accident that was reported before 11 a.m. this morning.

Funk said the one person in the vehicle would not be removed until the power was shut off.
