Dial-A-Ride Public Transit has activities planned each day this week to celebrate Nebraska's 5th Annual Public Transit Week, April 7-13.
Proclaimed by Governor Pete Ricketts, Public Transit Week is a chance to get out and experience the benefits of public transportation in your community. It's also an opportunity to show support for a public service that individuals and families across the state rely on each and every day.
Below is the list of activities planned:
Monday, April 8: Passenger Appreciation Day (We thank our passengers for their patronage)
Tuesday, April 9: Backpack Day (Pre-school to 2nd grade students coloring book activity)
Wednesday, April 10: Stuff the Bus (Bring 1 item for the Antelope County Food Pantry and ride for FREE! Items in need: flour, sugar, oil, shortening, canned chicken, dry cereal, pancake mix, syrup, crackers)
