Pancakes, Poker Run Kick Off 4th Of July Events Sunday

The Neligh Young Men’s Club will kick off the 46th Annual Old Mill Days celebration this weekend their pancake feed and a poker run on Sunday morning. 

Members will serve pancakes for a free will donation in Neligh’s Riverside Park Pavilion on Sunday, July 1 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

American Legion Riders will host their annual poker run on Sunday as well. The event will start at 9 a.m. from Neligh’s Riverside Park Pavilion.

Activities continue on Tuesday, July 3 with the Evening at the Museum, scavenger hunt, John Peterson concert and live music by Rivermill Express. 

Wednesday, July 4 will pack in a full day of events with the Lion's Club breakfast/luncheon, free admission at the Neligh Mill, 3-D shoot, fishing contest, ice cream social, grand parade, Legion hotdog feed, kids tractor pull, turtle races, horseshoe pitching, trap shoot, ducky derby and culminate with the big fireworks display.

The celebration will extend into the next weekend with a 3-D shoot, cornhole tournament and sand volleyball tournament on Saturday, July 7. The 3-D shoot will continue on Sunday, July 8 as well.
