Neligh-Oakdale Elementary Celebrates Read Across America

Neligh-Oakdale elementary celebrated Read Across America with a week full of books, costumes and mustaches.

With something planned everyday, students embraced Dr. Seuss Spirit Week, featuring a different Dr. Seuss book each day.  Launching the week with Cat in the Hat, students wore different hats to school.  

Tuesday featured Fox in Socks day, where students showed off their crazy socks. Neligh-Oakdale  also hosted their annual Read Across America Night in honor of Dr. Seuss. 

With activities and a free book for every child, the FBLA will also be handing out cupcakes. Grades 3-6 performed readers theaters for all to enjoy. 

Students wore mismatched outfits in honor of Wacky Wednesday and dressed up as what they want to be with they grow up on Thursday as "Oh, The Places You'll Go" was the featured book.

Following suit with the Lorax's impressive facial hair, elementary students work mustaches on Friday.
