Neligh Family Dentistry Goes Through Digital Upgrade

A trip to the dentist office in Neligh just took another digital step thanks to an upgrade in equipment.

Neligh Family Dentistry has offered text message reminders and online forms for several years, but now the Main Street business is utilizing digital imagery to improve patient experiences.

Dr. Terry Jensen D.D.S has only been able to use the new panoramic imaging machine, Panorex Orthopantomograph, twice since getting it last week but is excited about what it offers.

With this new machine, the practice can email the higher quality images instead of mailing the x-ray in an envelope.

It also makes taking x-rays easier, and allows for an easier diagnosing.

"People who cant take the normal x-ray for various reasons, we can use this to check for cavities and we have never had that capability," Jensen said. "It's got all the software. It's pretty amazing."

Although it is not newest machine out there, he is excited about the upgrade.

"The one we had before was a fairly good machine but it is not even close to the diagnostic capabilities of this" he said. "I mean its just amazing."

Dr. Jensen was worried when the electrical surge went through parts of town last Friday as a result of a transformer blowing, but the newest piece of technology was spared.
