A record number of Neligh-Oakdale students were celebrated Thursday for earning perfect scores on their statewide assessments last year.
Twelve Neligh-Oakdale students aced 13 NeSA tests. Cole Belitz recorded perfect scores in both reading and math. Results for all Antelope County schools "This is the first year of double-digit numbers with perfect scores," said upper elementary and secondary principal George Loofe. "I’m proud of their effort and commitment to make Neligh-Oakdale the best we can be." Earning perfect scores on the tests were (as shown in the photo): Front row – Hailey Bixler, reading; Emma Bixler, reading; Ty Rix, reading; Griffin Claussen, math; Claire Whitesel, math; Adan Schindler, reading; Back Row: Cole Belitz, reading and math; Cade Wilkinson, math; Cameron Wiseman, math; Noelle Ervin, writing; Kaitlyn McKirdy, writing; and Jessica Rogers, reading. The students were recognized at a school assembly on Thursday afternoon. Across the state, students in grades 3-8, along with grade 11 were tested in reading and math. Grades 5, 8, 11 were also tested in science and writing. Due to technical difficulties during testing for some schools across the state, reading scores for grades 8 and 11 were not released. Neligh-Oakdale students topped or matched statewide results in grades 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11 in reading; grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11 in math; and grades 5, 11 in science. |
