N-O Elementary Collects Items To Help Third World Countries

The Neligh-Oakdale Elementary Student Council recently hosted a very successful shoe, clothing and school supplies drive, according to elementary guidance counselor Becky Kerkman.  

All of the items were sorted, boxed, and given to the Orphan Grain Train to be sent to third world countries. She said the student council decided to host a clothing drive after touring the facility and helping pack items to send to the less fortunate.

Kerkman said the shoes were shipped straight to an American Army base in Cameroon, Africa where the soldiers will get to personally take the shoes to a local orphanage. ​
