Large Crowd Attends Trunk Or Treat In Neligh On Sunday

Well over 100 kids flocked to Neligh's 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat, sponsored by the Women of Neligh, on Sunday afternoon.

"The kids just kept coming and coming," said Tessa Hain of WON. "We were super happy with the turnout. It was a really nice day too." 

The Grace Lutheran Church parking lot featured decorated vehicles by businesses and organizations for trick or treating. The Women of Neligh also had several Halloween-related games for the kids and offered candy and prizes.  

Prizes were awarded to the best-decorated vehicles: First - Neligh Public Library (Unicorn Theme); Second - Aimee Hauf (Aimee's Wicked Shop of Wild Hairdos); and Third - Sandy Spurs 4-H Club (Do Not Feed The Wild Animals). Others participating in the event were Blackburn Manufacturing Company, Antelope County 4-H, Neligh-Oakdale School, Neligh Dial-A-Ride, Neligh Police Department, Neligh Fire Department and Neligh Rescue. 

First place received a $50 Casey's gift card and $30 in Neligh Big Bucks. Second place was presented a $25 Casey's gift card, $30 Imperial gift certificate and $10 in Neligh Big Bucks; and third place received a $25 Wanek's gift certificate, $10 Casey's gift card and $10 in Neligh Big Bucks.
