Doerr & Klein, P.C. To Offer Expanded Legal Services

Two local attorneys have recently formed a new legal professional corporation in Neligh.

Jeffrey Doerr of Neligh and Martin Klein of rural Petersburg officially opened Doerr & Klein, P.C. last week. The law firm is located at 101 W. 4th St., in the office formerly known as Jeffrey M. Doerr Law Offices.

"I felt it was important to get someone in here to serve the clients when I retire, and (Klein) knows the area and lives in the area," Doerr said of the new professional corporation.

The formation of Doerr & Klein, P.C. will also expand the services offered to clients. In the past, Doerr primarily worked in criminal defense, estate planning, wills, and real estate.

"We will expand the practice to include other services such as trusts, corporations, adoptions, guardianship, and civil litigation," Klein said.

Doerr, a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law, has been practicing law for 35 years. He started his career in Holdrege before working as an associate with Steve Kryger in Neligh in 1984. Doerr has practiced in Neligh since that time. He and his wife Karen have two children, Melissa and Tyler.

A 2001 graduate of Creighton Law School, Klein practiced in Omaha for four years and in Norfolk for the past 12 years. He was the Madison County Bar Association president last year and is currently serving on the Nebraska Supreme Court Commission on Children in the Courts. Klein was also a finalist as county judge for the 8th judicial district. He and his wife Amy have four children, Olivia, Aiden, Raaf, and Diedrick.
