Letter To Editor: Don't Twist 'We Support Neligh' Campaign

I am the founder of “We Support Neligh.” Even though some people are trying to twist this campaign into being about the annexation and recall, it is actually about being positive in the community in both your actions and your words.

I believe most Neligh residents are like me - fed up with negativity in the community. We are the silent majority. As my mom says, “Just because you’re the loudest, doesn’t mean you’re right.”

Please be a positive role model for our youth who are watching you and deciding right now if Neligh is where they want to call home when they are adults. The actions of both residents and non-residents of Neligh reflect on all of us.

I love Neligh. We have so many positive things going on in Neligh right now. Imagine what could be accomplished by using energy for good instead of trying to create negativity. That is what “We Support Neligh” is all about.
