Wolfpack Wrap Up Regular Season With A Sweep At Burwell

Burwell pushed the Wolfpack on Tuesday night, but EPPJ pushed back and took home another sweep to end the regular season an impressive 24-1. 

Elgin Public/Pope John defeated Burwell, 25-18, 26-24, 25-18 and has not played more than three sets in match the entire season.

The Wolfpack have lost just six total sets all season and had to fight in the second for the win, but as they've done nearly all season, they pulled out another victory.

​It was another balanced attack for the 'Pack with Amy Nelson putting down 13 kills and Liz Selting and Paige Meis adding another 11 each. Baylee Wemhoff put up 20 set assists while Allylemhoff had 15 more. 

Jordan Mescher picked up 28 digs in the match, and Cali Krebs had 14 digs. 

EPPJ will rest up for a week as they prepare for a tough Niobrara Valley Conference Tournament. As the top seed, the Wolfpack will take on the winner of the No. 8 Clearwater/Orchard and No. 9 West Holt match at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, at Pope John.
