Wolfpack Track Teams Compete In O'Neill Invitational

The Wolfpack track teams competed in the O'Neill Invite on Thursday.

EPPJ boys came in sixth place and the girls team was fourth out of the 10 schools competing in Division 2.

Winning the division for the boys was Wausa with 116, followed by North Central with 94, CWC with 79, Elkhorn Valley with 75 and Bloomfield with 56. The EPPJ boys tallied 50 points in the meet.

Blake Schrage brought home two gold medals for the Wolfpack, winning the 110 high hurdles and the 300 hurdles.

EPPJ medalists for the boys were:
Boys 4x800 Relay - EPPJ - 9:42.7 - fifth
Boys 4x100 Relay - EPPJ - 49.9 - fourth
3200 - Ryan Pelster - 10:48.73 - third
1600 - Ryan Pelster - 5:05.23 - fourth
800 - Ryan Pelster - 2:13.79 - fourth
200 - Austin Meis - 24.51 - fourth
100 - Austin Meis - 12.2 - third
110 High Hurdles - Blake Schrage - 16.67 - first
300 Hurdles - Blake Schrage - 43.13 - first

Winning the girls division was CWC with 104.5, followed by Clearwater-Orchard with 93 and North Central with 66. The EPPJ girls came in fourth with 63.5 team points.

Maddy Voborny of EPPJ captured first place in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.15 seconds.

Girls 4x800 Relay - EPPJ - 11:56 - second
Girls 4x100 Relay - EPPJ - 54.98 - third
1600 - Jenna Parks - 6:16.61 - third
800 - Taylor Schumacher - 2:32.81 - fourth
400 - Taylor Schumacher - 1:05.43 - fifth
200 -Jill Schindler - 28.29 - fourth
100 - Jill Schindler - 13.77 - fourth
100 Hurdles - Maddy Voborny - 17.15 - first; Taya Voborny - 19.15 - sixth
300 Hurdles - Maddy Voborny - 53.66 - fourth
High Jump - Jenna Parks - 4-4 - sixth
Pole Vault - Jordan Mescher - 6-0 - second; Taylor Shumacher - 6-0 - third
