Wolfpack Scores Early For A Dominating Homecoming Win

The Elgin Public Pope John Wolfpack had a big victory over Niobrara/Verdigre for their Homecoming game.

Right out of the gate, the Wolfpack scored, which was quickly followed by a touchdown for the Cougars. EPPJ scored fast and early in the first quarter, picking up 7 total touchdowns in the first half alone. 

The halftime score was 48-8, Wolfpack leading. Both teams scored one final touchdown in third quarter, making the final score 56-14.

Senior Seth Schumacher had a total of 60 passing yards on the night. Senior Andrew Fangman had an impressive 273 rushing yards on 17 carries and scored 6 of the team's 8 total touchdowns. 

The Wolfpack will hope to improve on their 6-1 season record next week against Neligh-Oakdale to determine the District Champion.
