Six EPPJ Athletes Qualify For State Track In Seven Events

Six Wolfpack track athletes qualified for the 2014 Nebraska State Track Meet in seven events.

Taylor Shumacher qualified for state in two events - the 400 meter dash and the 800 meter run. Shumacher earned the gold in the 400 with a time of 1:01.9. She picked up the silver medal in the 800, running it in 2:31.6.

Jill Schindler was the first to cross the finish line in close 200 race. She ran a 27.6 for the gold and a trip to state.

Maddy Voborny earned first place in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.7 seconds for a ticket to the state meet.

Jenna Parks ran the 1600 meter run in 6:00.4, earning second place and a state qualification.

Blake Schrage qualified for state with his second place finish in the 110 high hurdles. He ran the race in 16.1 seconds.

Ryan Pelster earned second place and a trip to state in the 1600 meter run with his time of 4:55.

6. Jordan Mescher - girls triple jump - 30-0.5
4. Taylor Schumacher - girls pole vault - 7-4
5. Jordan Mescher - girls pole vault - 7-4
4. Taylor Sehi - girls long jump - 15-7.5
6. Jill Schindler - girls long jump  - 14-3
6. Jenna Parks - girls high jump - 4-4
5. Taylor Sehi - girls 400 meter dash- 1:06.8 
4. Ryan Pelster - boys 3200 meter run - 11:01.3
4. Jill Schindler - girls 100 meter dash - 13.4
6. Maddy Voborny - girls 300 hurdles - 53.8
3. Blake Schrage - boys 300 hurdles- - 44.8
5. Taylor Sehi - girls 200 meter dash - 28.2
4. Austin Meis - boys 200 meter dash - 24.1
3. EPPJ Girls 4x100 - 54.1
5. EPPJ Boys 4x100 - 48.6

The EPPJ girls team was the district runner up and the boys team finished sixth.
